This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Dog roses (or multiflora roses) are everywhere and considered an invasive alien species in many places. It was introduced from Japan to use as root grafting stock for other types of roses. Our locale has the white variety although there is a pink version. It is a crawling shrub that uses anything substantial for support. The scent fills the air with a heavy, sweet scent. This picture was taken May 30, 2011, in Green Lane, PA. For more information, you can visit:

Interesting commentary on this type of rose. I wasn't aware of this being undesirable as a species. I have a pink one, that looks just like this! Thanks for sharing the info, and the beautiful and desirable image of these roses with us!
