Fog droplets caught in a cobweb wound around a multiflora rose bush. The grey background is the marsh that helped produce all the fog. I often go birding in this reclaimed wetland but the fog on this day offered a different delight.
About Sarah Lord
I'm a high school math teacher with a Geology degree who is drawn to the art world. Before I taught school, I was a gold miner in Chicken, Alaska and then a lampwork glass jewelry artist. (Chicken got its name from the earlier miners who came to the area in 1886. They really liked to eat the Ptarmigan in the area and wanted to name the town after them, but no one could agree on how to spell it. They decided they could spell chicken and that's what the bird tasted like anyway, so the rest is history.) I have many interests in life and many paths I have headed down, but the one thing that has been consistent is a love of being in the woods.
